Recap:
Workdaze's day started with bad news on the injury front, but ended well with a 7:4 victory over Vanderbilt. Team doctors confirmed leading points scorer Thomas has a Plantar Fascia Rupture and will be out at least 3 games. The team knew it would need to step up the effort to replace Thomas' offense and defense.

The retooled Vanderbilt entered the day tied with Workdaze for first place. Vanderbilt got off to an early 1:0 lead as Workdaze was analyzing their attack. It was obvious from the start that the game would be well contested. The pivotal moments came as the first half was coming to a close. With the game tied 2:2, and 2 minutes remaining, Workdaze was able to get 2 more goals. The second coming on a blast from Armin from the offensive zone over the keeper's head. The half ended on a stupid play by Jon trying to get the ball from the Vanderbilt keeper as time expired. He was called for an intentional hand ball, and a '2 minute out'.

Workdaze put out its penalty killing unit to start the second half, and they brilliantly held Vanderbilt scoreless to maintain the two goal advantage. The effort of the last two minutes of the first half, and the first two minutes of the second half defined the game for Workdaze. The lead was extended to 6:2 before Vanderbilt scored again, and the game was well in hand.

Next game on Sunday is another challenge for Workdaze against Survey FC.
