Game 3 vs D4 (08/24/08)

The champs were finally taken down. Workdaze finally tasted defeat at the hands of its nemesis D4. The game was tough and very competitive. D4 played with a purpose and despite several of the Workdaze players appearing fatigued from a weekend at Lake Tahoe, the game was close. D4 was up 2-0 at the half and it appeared that Workdaze was controlling the tempo in the second with a goal by Mark Jaynes. D4 responded with a goal and the rest of the game was a stale mate. The true mettle of a champion is measured not when he falls but how he gets up and rises above adversity. Will Workdaze rise to the challenge?

Goals: Mark

Game 2 vs Munchenbox (08/21/08)

Workdaze started off game 2 in the worst possible way. The team looked sluggish and the normal solid defense looked porous. Down 3-0, newcomer Dan Beck made his presence felt with a hustle goal. At the half, Workday was down 4-2. Will the team be able to mount one of its legendary comebacks? The answer was a resounding yes. The defense clamped down not allowing a single goal in the 2nd half. The offense also started pouring it on led by Frank Law’s 2 goals and numerous plays that led to good scoring opportunities. At the end of the game, Workdaze was once again triumphant. Final score 7-4

Goals: Frank (2), pv, Attila, Ralf, Seamus
