Recap:
Workdaze cruised to an easy victory against Fred's Market. It was not the close championship rematch that was expected, as Fred's has lost 11-1 and 14-4 in their first two games this session.

The game started off with a bid advantage for Workdaze, as Fred's only had 4 field players. Workdaze took immediate advantage and cruised out to a 5-0 lead early in the half. Fred's was at 5 players at that point, but with no subs, they were clearly overmatched. Workdaze battling the Mercy Rule, managed a single goal for the rest of the half.

In the second half, Jon volunteered to take goal so Kevin could play the field. The goal was still to preserve the shutout. However that dream ended quickly when Armin was called for a penalty in the Workdaze box that resulted in a PK for Fred's. Jon had no chance as the Goatie guy put the ball past him in the lower corner. Kevin, playing out for the first time in 11 months managed an assist and a mercy violation, but we couldn't get him a goal.

Even with the Mercy Rule in full effect for the entire second half, Workdaze still managed to put 8 more goals on the board. Despite the long layoff since the last game, they played well as a team, passed the ball well, and took advantage of a weaker opponent.

Workdaze has now won 12 straight games.

Next up is Vanderbilt.
