Recap:
Workdaze got back on the winning track with a hard fought victory over D4.

As usual D4 played Workdaze tough. It was a very defensive game where ball possession was the key. In the first half Workdaze went up 1:0 on a Mark goal with a perfect pass into the box from Saul. D4 tied it, and it remained 1:1 late into the half. Workdaze fought off a 5 on 4 advantage on the shortest penalty that Guillermo has handed out. Only 60 seconds had passed, but he let the man back in??!

Ralf got the second goal towards the end of the first half on a beautiful free kick. Ralf was taken down between the 3rd line and the D4 box. He took advantage of the D4 keeper by blasting a shot low and hard through the defense and untouched into the goal. Workdaze applied pressure and tried to get another before the end of the half, but it ended 2:1.

In the second half the game was back and forth. Kevin kept Workdaze in it with some great saves on very hard shots and deflections from D4. Guillermo finally made a good call against the fast long haired guy from D4 who had been pushing off and grabbing all game. Workdaze took immediate advantage of the man down and scored the goal. Second half goals by Seamus, Thomas, and finally a donkey kick by Armin on a strange play in the D4 box put the Workdaze up 5:3 to stay. D4 mounted several attacks at the end of the game, but were held off.

Workdaze's win helped them to keep pace with Survey who beat TapouT 7:2. Survey now leads Workdaze in the battle for first place based on identical record and an advantage in Goal differential. It looks like Workdaze will need to win out to avoid playing D4 in the first round of the playoffs.
