Well it wasn't our game last. With both Frank and Joe out, we had to improvise on midfield. To top it of, our secret weapon goalie Kevin Jarvis cuts his hands with a bread knife minutes before the game and gets 6 stitches! Luckily Salva jump in and played a very strong game.
We got off to a good start and secured a 2:0 lead with goals by Ralf and Thomas. Mid of the first half, things started to run and Survey came on stronger. We did not play well in defense or midfield and were too hectic moving the ball forward. Survey's top striker scored two easy goals for the equalizer. With 2:2 we went into halftime.
A beautiful solo by Thomas, finished by Ralf, put us up 3:2, but Survey soon scored another goal. They built up more and more pressure and we failed to fight back and capitalize on our (now fewer) scoring opportunities. After the 3:4, we fought very hard to stay in the game, but a lucky punch shot for the 3:5 closed the game.
Sometimes things just don't go your way. Survey played very smart and strong and punished us for every mistake we made. Hats off - we just didn't have it last night. But this is just stronger motivation for next season to go out and win the title back from our English friends...
