What a fantastic win! In a great late night game we continued our upward trend and beat the leading team Citicars 6:4. This was definitely our best game this season and maybe one of the top games of our history.
With Jarvis injured, Sameer played goalie and the rookie did very well. We started great, played disciplined from a strong defense, marked the men in midfield and took shots. Thomas had the first goal, follow by Joe on off-the-wall assist by Armin. Still in first half Ralf broke through the defense on the left wing and nailed the 3:0. Citicars had come back the week before from a 0:3 game so we were warned.
Early in second half the cars scored 2 goals as we were not as consequent on defense anymore. The game started to turn. Ralf secured our lead with a volley shot for the 4:2, but the Citicars put on their best game an tied at 4:4. But we needed the win and everyone stepped up and fought back. Mark cut through defense on the left and kicked in the 5:4 and Joe finished it off with a nice shot for the 6:4.
Very definitely got our game back! Very satisfying! 2 more wins are needed for the play-offs, but we can no doubt make it there!!!
