Recap:
The Workdaze team had to play without half of its defense (Jon) and without the whole creative department (Frank & Saul) in the first game of this new session. But PV and others filled in on defense and it turned out that we were able to manage the game without the creative department.
It took the Workdaze team almost 10 minutes to wake up on this Sunday afternoon and get on the scoreboard by a goal from Mark. But once the Workdaze goal machine got rolling, the win was never in danger. Workdaze led 5-0 at half time with more goals from Ralf (2), Attila, and Thomas.
Same picture in the second half, Tapout tried, got tired, and Workdaze scored more with goals from Steve, Attila, and Thomas (2).
Other highlights:
Kevin showed great saves in goal. You can tell he watched a lot of Detroit pro-teams in the playoffs recently, since there was everything from a hockey-goalie-type save with both knees down to a basketball rebound and dribbling. Tapout got on the scoreboard only with a lucky shot that bounced of the wall against Kevin's arm and then fumbled into the goal.
Attila came in late, but very efficient with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Dave, the only new player this session, showed his talent and gave 2 beautiful assists in his first appearance.
It's always a joy to watch Seamus dance around the strikers. It look like the Tapout offense did not gain one inch against him.
Overall, it was a good start into the new session and a good practive for the next, much tougher game against D4.
