Workdaze showed again they are the comeback kings with a 5:4 comeback win against Fred's Market.

For whatever the reason, Workdaze has been starting slow of late, and this game was no different. Fred's Market scored early in the first half, then again to put Workdaze down 2-0. Workdaze got on the board when Jon took a white dot kick from Thomas and put it in the upper corner for the 2-1.

Workdaze played a bit better later in the first half, but couldn't tie the game. Just before the half, tempers flared as Jon made a fair challenge in the Workdaze box that resulted in a Fred's player twisting his ankle (or pride). Armin got in to it with the guy, and the tone was set for the second half.

Workdaze came out flat in the second half, and Fred's immediately scored from a pass off the back wall to go up 3-1. At that point the Workdaze players were upset with eachother and the unbeaten streak looked in serious doubt.

The next goal came when Jon carried the ball on a two on 1 break, missed his initial shot, but followed the rebound off the wall. He was able to get enough of his left foot on the ball to lift it over the reach of the Fred's keeper for the 3-2.

Workdaze kept the pressure on, and they got in to more of a rhythm with each other. Kevin made some great saves on some frantic plays in front of the Workdaze goal. Armin scored the tying goal on a tight angle shot up against the back wall that somehow made it in.

Seamus was then called for a weak 2 minute out and Workdaze was down a man. Everyone focused on solid defense with Ralf helping back. Thomas then went on to score a short-handed goal to put Workdaze in the lead. He also put the finishing touch on another tight angle shot.

The game looked to be in control, but Fred's game back on a defensive let down to score the 5-4. Luckily for Workdaze, Fred's was out of gas at that point and Workdaze was able to wind the clock and preserve the victory.

Another comeback win and a great team effort! Vanderbilt is next.
